Start before you feel ready
I put off starting this newsletter for almost a year. I told myself I needed a better name, a nicer template, a content calendar. None of that was true. I just didn’t want to be seen doing something badly at first.
The readiness trap
“Ready” is a feeling, and feelings arrive after action, not before. You don’t think your way into confidence — you act your way into it.
Motivation follows momentum. It almost never leads.
A smaller first step
Instead of launch the newsletter, the step was write 200 words and hit send to one person. That I could do. The rest followed.
If there’s something you’ve been circling for months, shrink it until the first step feels almost embarrassingly small — then take it today.
See you in the next one.
